MTN VACANCY,SENIOR MANAGER LAGOS


SENIOR MANAGER, SALES SUPPORT AND FINANCIAL CONTROL
DEPARTMENT: Sales and Distribution
LOCATION: Lagos

Overall management & coordination of the activities of the following functions:

JOB DESCRIPTION:
FINANCIAL CONTROL
•Development of accurate and timely financial reports, including forecasts, cost and budget analysis, exception reporting, and variance analysis
•Reporting on sales activities of the wholesale, Service Centres, Connect Stores, SC/Connect Lites, Connect Points and other sales channels.
•Reconciliation of Service Centre collections, Connect Stores, Dealer Bank Collection accounts, Trade Debtors Account and MTN collections in other retail outlets
•Implementing and monitoring controls in Wholesale Distribution and all retail environments.
•OPEX Reporting, Analysis and Control
•Budget preparation and coordination – budgeting & forecasting of Revenue, Cost of Sales, Operating Expenditure and Capital Expenditure for Sales & Distribution
•Development and maintenance of policies, processes and procedures around all sales and distribution transactions and activities.
•Monitoring of financial controls for committing, approving and processing of all Field Sales spending, ensuring clear specifications for accountability and process ownership to ensuring that spending is in line with approved budget.
•Provision of financial advice and influence on decision making to maximize returns on all Sales spending investments
•Monitoring trade partners’ behaviour for policy compliance and promptly report and resolve violations
•Timely compilation of data from regional sales teams ensuring they meet budgeting deadlines and employ a uniform approach
•Enable educationX of Sales force on key financial concepts
BUSINESS ANALYSIS & REPORTING
•Analysing potential TP & Connect Business Plan and Financial statements
•Reporting on Trade Partner sales activities and Trade Partner financial position & profitability
•Development of strategies and tactics to monitor trade partner and sales force performance by delivering insights through financial analysis and reporting on an ongoing basis throughout the year
•Collaboration with Channels Team to improve trade promotion effectiveness, efficiency, and tracking
•Monitoring and analyzing market trends.
•Development of required daily, weekly and monthly reports and analyses for Sales staff by region
•Performing ad hoc analysis of business issues as needed to support the achievement of S& D goals
•Creating the right metrics to measure performance and drive profitable growth
•Accumulate and maintain all Sales and Distribution information related data.
•Collaborate with IS/EDW to ensure reports meet specifications and made available as per SLA.
TRADE PARTNER MANAGEMENT
•Processing of payments and 1st Level transactions reconciliation.
•Trade Partner sales order processing in the line with the stock allocated wholesale channel.
•Recommendations to management on trade partner credit management, discounts, incentives, etc.
•Management of Trade Partner Help Desk to provide operation support and timely problem resolution.
•Managing Trade Partner compensation on defective products.
•Dealer Credit portfolio management- Monitoring, collection and bad debt management
INVENTORY CONTROL•Daily, weekly, and monthly stock count
•System monitoring and inventory transaction tracking to prevent unauthorized access and fraudulent inventory transactions.
•Management reporting for Sales & Distribution on KPI, Distribution, Inventory etc.
•Inventory Management, Accounting, Costing and valuation.
•Inventory site set up, price set up and maintenance.
•Exception reporting in all system violation.
JOB CONDITIONS:
•Normal MTNN working conditions
•Extended working hours
•Occasional local & international travel
Reporting To: S & D Executive
REQUIRED SKILLS:
•First degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing or related disciplines
•Other professional accounting qualifications or MBA will be an added advantage
•12 years relevant work experience including;
•Five years financial management experience in a large organisation
•Three years experience in a telecommunications environment
•Supply Chain knowledge
