Save the Children is a leading international organization helping children in need around the world. First established in the UK in 1919, separate national organizations have been set up in more than twenty-eight countries, sharing the aim of improving the lives of children through education, health care and economic opportunities, as well as emergency aid in cases of natural disasters, war and conflict. Today,
 twenty-eight national Save the Children organizations participate in the International Save the Children Alliance – a global network of nonprofit organizations working in over 120 countries around the world.
In addition to promoting greater public awareness of the needs and rights of children worldwide, Alliance members coordinate emergency relief efforts, helping  to protect children from the effects of disasters, both natural and manmade. We also work with the existing Food and Nutrition Partnership Forum to influence government and donors to bring the issue of malnutrition and poverty into the national agenda.
POSITION: STATE TECHNICAL ADVISOR
LOCATION: Katsina (NGN 5,000, 000)

To strengthen the capacity of the  State Nutrition Officer (SNO) and deputy(s), if  applicable, in management  delivery, and advocacy of cost-effective malnutrition  prevention and treatment interventions (interventions include- Infant & Young Child Feeding, Community Management of Acute Malnutrition, Maternal & Child Health Weeks).
QUALIFICATION
Applicants should have at least a B.A in programme Management, health and nutrition, or related social Science. Strong programme management background with experience in managing health and/or nutrition programmes.
POSITION: DEPUTY DIRECTOR, OPERATIONS
LOCATION: Abuja

To effectively and efficiently coordinate operations systems, processes and activities (inclusive of field operations, logistics, IT, safety and  security), to strengthen management and planning of operations so as to ensure Save the Children in Nigeria delivers quality and timely programmes according to organizational strategy, donor  requirement and within allocated budgets
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants should have Masters in operations and development management, humanitarian studies, Business Administration – or similar appropriate degree.
She/he should have experience  managing  a large team and  7 years experience  in operations  management  and programme  delivery including representation at a senior and  international level.
KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT MANAGER
LOCATION: Kano (NGN 5,000,000)

The job purpose is for the development and management of the M&E and communication strategies for the Northern Nigeria Nutrition Programme.
QUALIFICATION:
The ideal candidate will need to have good knowledge of M&E, Media and Communications. Advanced training in quantitative methodologies, including database management
She/he should have 5 years of direct experience of monitoring and evaluation related to one or more of these fields: health, HIV, nutrition and/ or economics.
LOGISTICS MANAGER
LOCATION: Abuja
The ideal candidate will have overall responsibility for the co-ordination and management of all logistics activities within the country of operation and will provide support, capacity building and oversight to logistics staff in field locations.
He /she will also serve as the country security focal point and advisor to the Country Director and Programme Managers.
QUALIFICATION
Applicants should have minimum of 5 years experience in supply Chain management in an emergency environment, including procurement, transport and distribution, fleet management, warehouse and stock management
He/she must have proven experience of developing and implementing logistics policies, systems and procedures within INGO/NGO sectors.
SAFETY AND SECURITY ADVISER, NATIONAL
The post holder will develop and ensure the systematic application of safety and security management policies and procedures in all of SCUK operational areas of Nigeria. This will include the assessment of threats and provision of advice to manage risk; the maintenance and updating of security guidelines and ensuring that field security working practices and robust and that all staff are Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
QUALIFICATION
Applicants should have minimum of 3 years practical field experience in security management/leadership role (e.g direct INGO security management, police, military) in challenging or insecure environments, with sound knowledge of personnel and organizational security issues, threat/risk assessment, security management and awareness; Previous experience of working in a complex and challenging environment.
